Job summary

Teach Plus is partnering with a welcoming primary school in Southall, Ealing to recruit a KS1 Teacher for a January 2027 start. You will lead a Year 1 class, delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils as they transition into Key Stage 1.

The role emphasizes inclusive teaching, pupil wellbeing, and collaboration with colleagues to raise attainment and foster a positive learning environment for all pupils.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification is required.
• Experience teaching KS1 or in a similar role is preferred.
• Demonstrated subject knowledge for the KS1 curriculum.
• Enhanced DBS with Update Service is required.
• Right to work in the UK is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with KS1 curriculum.
• Take full classroom responsibility for a Year 1 class and establish routines.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress to inform planning.
• Develop pupils' literacy, phonics, numeracy, and broader curriculum skills.
• Promote positive behaviour and strong relationships with pupils, families and staff.
• Collaborate with leadership to contribute to curriculum development and safeguarding.
