Job summary

Mole Valley Farmers Limited in Yeovil is seeking a dedicated Yard Team Member to support daily yard and feedstore operations. This hands-on role focuses on stock handling, customer service, and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for members and customers. Contract: Permanent.

Hours: 37.5 per week, 5 days including weekends. You will work with the Stock Supervisor and team to ensure efficient operations and high presentation in external areas, delivering excellent service at the counter

Qualifications

• Experience in a yard, warehouse, or retail environment (preferred).
• Familiarity with agricultural or countryside settings (beneficial).
• A forklift truck licence (advantageous).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately.
• Good IT skills and confidence using systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Awareness of Data Protection / GDPR and Health & Safety standards.
• You’ll be friendly, self-motivated, and adaptable, with a commitment to delivering high‑quality service and working as part of a team.

• Supporting Point of Sale operations when required
• Maintaining external areas to a high standard of presentation

Description

We’re looking for a hardworking and customer-focused Yard Team Member to support the day-to-day operations of our yard and store. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll help maintain a safe, organised, and welcoming environment for our members and customers, while working collaboratively with colleagues across the business.

About The Role

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full-time

Hours of Work: 37.5 Hours per week, working 5 out of 7 days including weekends.

As a Yard Team Member, you’ll play a key role in stock handling, customer service, and maintaining high standards across external areas. You’ll support the Stock Supervisor and wider team to ensure efficient operations and a positive experience for everyone who visits the store.
