Job summary

Sunblink Ltd-GRN in Newry is seeking an experienced Yard Shunter to join our busy transport operation. You will safely manoeuvre trailers and HGVs around the yard, supporting daily transport, loading and distribution tasks, and ensuring trailers are positioned correctly to meet operational needs.

This Monday–Friday role offers a competitive £16.27 per hour base rate, overtime paid at time and a half after 45 hours, and the potential to receive two tax-free bonuses each year within a supportive,

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence or Yard Shunter cert.
• Previous experience in HGV driving, trailer shunting or yard operations.
• Confidence manoeuvring large vehicles and trailers in busy environments.

Responsibilities

• Safely manoeuvre and position HGV trailers and vehicles around the yard.
• Support daily transport, loading and distribution operations.
• Ensure trailers are positioned correctly to meet operational requirements.
• Work closely with the transport and warehouse teams.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and operational efficiency.
• Monday to Friday, 12:30pm - 9:00pm.

Are you an experienced Yard Shunter or Class 1 HGV Driver looking for a consistent Monday to Friday shift, excellent earning potential and the opportunity to join an established transport and distribution business?

Working within a busy transport operation, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers and vehicles around the yard, ensuring the smooth running of daily distribution activities.

The Role:

• Safely manoeuvre and position HGV trailers and vehicles around the yard.
• Support daily transport, loading and distribution operations.
• Ensure trailers are positioned correctly to meet operational requirements.
• Work closely with the transport and warehouse teams.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and operational efficiency.
• Monday to Friday, 12:30pm - 9:00pm.

You will need:

• A valid Class 1 (C+E) licence or recognised Yard Shunter certification.
• Previous experience in HGV driving, trailer shunting or yard operations.
• Confidence manoeuvring large vehicles and trailers in a busy environment.
• A safety-conscious approach and ability to work as part of a team.
• Flexibility and a positive attitude towards your work.

What you will receive:

• £16.27 per hour basic rate.
• Overtime paid at time and a half after 45 hours.
• Eligible for 2 tax-free bonus payments annually
• Consistent Monday to Friday working hours.
