Job summary

Jewson in Hexham (NE46 1HB) is seeking a Yard Sales Advisor to join our branch on a full-time basis. You’ll greet customers, identify needs, and drive service excellence across yard, counter and shop floor.

With on-the-job forklift training, you’ll help load and unload deliveries and support initiatives to boost sales and margins. We offer a competitive basic salary, a performance bonus, generous holiday, pension, life assurance and employee discounts.

Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity for a Yard Sales Advisor in our thriving Hexham (NE46 1HB) branch!

This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday 7:30 – 17:00, and every other Saturday from 08:00-12:00.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Acknowledge every customer, ascertain their needs and wow them with quick and efficient service
• Ask open questions to build strong relationships and understand our customers current and future requirements so we can support all their needs
• Maintain excellent standards across the yard, counter and shop floor
• Operate machinery safely and carry out key operational activities such as offloading, picking, packing, restocking and loading vehicles
• Support business initiatives to increase sales, margin & service as required
• Continually develop your knowledge of core and specialist product lines to meet customer needs
• Loading and unloading vehicles both manually and with a forklift (training will be provided)
