Job summary

Jewson, part of STARK UK, is recruiting a Yard Sales Advisor for the Hexham branch. The role is full-time, Monday–Friday 7:30–17:00 with alternate Saturdays 08:00–12:00, offering opportunities to develop customer relationships, manage yard and shop floor standards, and support sales initiatives.

You will work in a team-focused environment that values decency, enthusiasm, and pride in delivering excellent service and growing live accounts.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge every customer, ascertain their needs and wow them with quick and efficient service.
• Ask open questions to build relationships and understand current and future requirements.
• Maintain excellent standards across the yard, counter and shop floor.
• Operate machinery safely and carry out key operational activities such as offloading, picking, packing, restocking and loading vehicles.
• Support business initiatives to increase sales, margin & service as required.
• Continually develop knowledge of core and specialist product lines to meet customer needs.
• Loading and unloading vehicles both manually and with a forklift (training will be provided)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Yard Sales Advisor in our thriving Hexham (NE46 1HB) branch!

This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday 7:30 - 17:00, and every other Saturday from 08:00-12:00.

What You'll Be Doing

• Acknowledge every customer, ascertain their needs and wow them with quick and efficient service
