Job summary

Jewson, part of Stark UK, invites applications for a Yard Sales Advisor at our Hexham (NE46 1HB) branch. This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday 7:30–17:00 schedule and every other Saturday 08:00–12:00, with a focus on delivering friendly, efficient customer service and operational excellence across yard, counter and shop floor.

You’ll develop product knowledge, build lasting relationships with customers, and support sales initiatives while working in a supportive team that values integrity,

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge every customer, ascertain needs and provide fast, friendly service.

• Maintain high standards across yard, counter and shop floor.
• Operate machinery safely; assist with offloading, picking, packing and loading vehicles.
• Support initiatives to increase sales, margin and service.
• Develop knowledge of core and specialist product lines.
• Loading and unloading vehicles (training provided).

We have an exciting opportunity for a Yard Sales Advisor in our thriving Hexham (NE46 1HB) branch!

This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday 7:30 – 17:00, and every other Saturday from 08:00-12:00.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Acknowledge every customer, ascertain their needs and wow them with quick and efficient service
• Ask open questions to build strong relationships and understand our customers current and future requirements so we can support all their needs
• Maintain excellent standards across the yard, counter and shop floor
• Operate machinery safely and carry out key operational activities such as offloading, picking, packing, restocking and loading vehicles
• Support business initiatives to increase sales, margin & service as required
• Continually develop your knowledge of core and specialist product lines to meet customer needs
• Loading and unloading vehicles both manually and with a forklift (training will be provided)
