Job summary

STARK Building Materials UK operates a busy Glasgow branch on Bearsden Road (G13 1EP). We are seeking a Yard Sales Advisor who will deliver superb customer service, build relationships, and support the yard, counter and shop floor operations.

You will be involved in loading/unloading, stock replenishment, and working with our team to drive sales and service excellence. Ongoing training and a supportive environment are provided.

• Strong customer service skills with a confident phone/face-to-face manner.
• Ability to ask open questions and build relationships with customers.
• Willingness to learn and develop product knowledge across yard and shop floor.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Yard Sales Advisor in our Glasgow (Bearsden Road, G13 1EP) branch!

This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday 9:30am – 17:00pm (we can be flexible), and every other Saturday from 08:00-12:00.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Acknowledge every customer, ascertain their needs and wow them with quick and efficient service

• Ask open questions to build strong relationships and understand our customers current and future requirements so we can support all their needs

• Maintain excellent standards across the yard, counter and shop floor

• Operate machinery safely and carry out key operational activities such as offloading, picking, packing, restocking and loading vehicles

• Support business initiatives to increase sales, margin & service as required

• Continually develop your knowledge of core and specialist product lines to meet customer needs

• Loading and unloading vehicles both manually and with a forklift (training will be provided)
