Job summary

Expro is seeking a diligent yard operator based at our Well Testing facility in Dyce, Aberdeen. You will assist with moving equipment and materials, operate forklift, and ensure safe handling in the yard and workshop areas in line with company procedures.

Working in a fast-paced environment, you will track movements, complete necessary documentation, and participate in safety meetings. Candidates should hold a UK driving license and a forklift license; Banksman Slinger cert is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• UK driving licence is required.
• Forklift license (B1/B2) and Banksman Slinger cert are beneficial.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and good communication.
• Fast-paced environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift daily to pack/unpack containers and load/unload trucks.
• Load/unload containers and equipment with forklift and crane.
• Record equipment movements and maintain documentation per policies.
• Maintain yard cleanliness and safety in storage areas.
• Participate in morning safety meetings and report incidents promptly.
• Eliminate DROPS in daily operations.

Based at our Well Testing facility in Dyce, Aberdeen you will be responsible for assisting with the movement of equipment and materials in or out of the yard/workshop area. Ensure that all activities within yard area e.g. lifting and movement of equipment are carried out are per company procedures. Ensure the safety of all personnel including visitors to yard area.

Key Activities and Accountabilities

• Daily use of forklift to pack/unpack containers and to load/unload trucks
• Loading/unloading of containers and equipment with forklift and crane
• Ensuring the best practices for the safe packing and handling of cargo are followed for the loading/unloading out of equipment
• Responsible for receiving/tracking/off-hiring 3rd party rentals
• Ensure that all recording of equipment movements and required documentation is actioned to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in a timely manner
• Perform daily housekeeping activities to keep the yard and storage areas in a safe and tidy manner
• Actively participate in morning meetings to discuss safety, maintenance status/tasks, mobilisation/demobilisation updates etc.,
• Ensure that all incidents and non-conformances are reported in line with the appropriate procedures and deadlines
• Use Stop Work Authority; participate in Positive Intervention Programme
• Carry out daily housekeeping of equipment (i.e. Forklift), yard and storage areas to ensure a clean & safe working environment
• Ensuring the elimination of DROPS is at the forefront of daily operations

Job Knowledge & Qualifications

• Previous working experience in a similar role
• Current B1/B2 forklift license and Banksman Slinger certificate would be beneficial but not essential
• Current UK clean driving license required
• Previous experience of working in a fast-paced environment with shifting deadlines/priorities is essential
• Ability to work accurately under pressure
• Must demonstrate a high level of adaptability and flexibility
• Must demonstrate a high level of attention to detail
• Written and verbal communication skills, and work effectively with others
