Adler and Allan is seeking a Yard person to assist the Yard Manager in depots, ensuring kit and equipment are inspected, tested, calibrated and ready to support operations. You will help maintain safety, sign in visitors, and keep records of inspections and maintenance.

The role requires forklift/telehandler/excavator certificates, good numeracy and literacy, strong planning, and a clean UK driving licence. Benefits include enhanced leave, pension, life assurance and career progression.

• Driving Licence (UK) (clean)

Responsabilités

• To represent the company professionally.
• To keep depots and yards clean, with waste minimised and disposed of responsibly.
• To restrict access to unauthorised areas and equipment.

The Yard person will need to assist the Yard Manager in managing the organisations depots and ensure that kit and equipment is inspected, tested and calibrated and made ready to support the organisations operations.

What you will be doing

• To work safely at all times and ensure the safety of all those working around them.
• To comply with the requirements of the company policies, procedures and relevant risk assessments and method statements.
• To support the SHEQ Manager with matters of compliance.
• To ensure that all those visiting the site to undertake works sign into the visitors book and are made aware of any risks to their H&S and understand how to follow site-based rules and requirements.
• To complete and maintain records of inspections and maintenance.
• To support the Yard Manager.
• To ensure suitable levels of stock and equipment are readily available at all times.
• To prepare requests in a timely manner ready for collection.
• To represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
• To ensure that the depot, including all yards and parking areas are kept clean, safe and ensure that waste is minimised and stored/treated/disposed of responsibly.
• To restrict access to unauthorised areas and/or equipment.

Qualifications
