Job summary

Expro is seeking an experienced Senior Workshop / Maintenance Technician to join our Well Intervention team. The role is hands-on in a busy workshop, focusing on maintenance, inspection and repair of pressure control equipment to high safety and quality standards.

You will perform diagnostics, support rigging operations, maintain accurate records and work closely with logistics and other internal teams to ensure equipment readiness for operations. A strong safety culture is essential.

Qualifications

• Experienced workshop or maintenance technician with a strong mechanical background.
• Experience maintaining WellIntervention, Pressure Control or similar oil and gas equipment would be advantageous.
• Certified to drive a B1 Forklift and operate a gantry crane.
• Comfortable working in a busy workshop and documenting work accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs on Well Intervention Pressure Control equipment.
• Inspect and prepare equipment in line with quality, safety and certification requirements.
• Support rigging up, assembly and rigging down of equipment.
• Complete job packs, inspection records and maintenance documentation accurately and on time.
• Operate forklifts and gantry cranes for safe movement of equipment (where trained).
• Coordinate with Logistics, Stores and internal teams to ensure equipment and components are available when required.
• Participate in daily safety and operational meetings, providing updates on maintenance activities.
• Report incidents and non-conformances following company procedures.
• Promote a strong safety culture including Stop Work Authority and Positive Intervention.
• Provide guidance, basic job training and supervision to technicians when required.

Overall Purpose of the Job

We are looking for an experienced Senior Workshop / Maintenance Technician to join our Well Intervention team.

This is a hands‑on workshop-based role responsible for the maintenance, inspection, diagnosis and repair of Well Intervention Pressure Control equipment. You’ll play an important part in ensuring equipment is maintained and prepared safely, efficiently and to the required quality and certification standards, ready for operational use.

Key Activities and Accountabilities

• Carry out preventative and predictive maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs on Well Intervention Pressure Control equipment
• Inspect and prepare equipment in line with Company quality, safety and certification requirements
• Support the rigging up, assembly and rigging down of equipment
• Complete job packs, inspection records and maintenance documentation accurately and on time
• Operate forklifts and gantry cranes for the safe movement, loading and unloading of equipment, where appropriately trained and authorised
• Work closely with Logistics, Stores and other internal teams to ensure equipment and components are available when required
• Participate in daily safety and operational meetings, providing updates on maintenance activities and equipment status
• Report incidents and non-conformances in accordance with Company procedures
• Actively promote a strong safety culture, including the use of Stop Work Authority and participation in the Positive Intervention Programme
• Provide guidance, basic job training and task supervision to technicians when required

Job Knowledge and Qualifications

• You’ll be an experienced workshop or maintenance technician with a strong mechanical background and a practical, safety-focused approach.
• Experience maintaining WellIntervention, Pressure Control or similar oil and gas equipment would be highly advantageous
• Certified to drive a B1 Forklift and operate a gantry crane
• You’ll also be comfortable working as part of a busy workshop team, maintaining accurate documentation and supporting less experienced technicians when required
