Job summary

John Davidson Pipes, part of Tessenderlo Group, is seeking a Yard/Branch Assistant at our Longtown branch near Carlisle. You will work as part of a friendly team delivering customer service and supporting warehouse operations.

The role requires excellent communication, literacy and numeracy, a forklift licence, and a willingness to train across all areas of our operation, including health and safety practices. Long-term stability and pension are offered.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and some customer service skills.

• A hardworking & helpful individual to train in all aspects of our operation.
• An understanding of Health & Safety in a work environment.
• Experience in Warehousing.
• Basic knowledge of computers.
• Forklift truck licence.

Responsibilities

• Providing customers with product and service information.
• Pick customer orders accurately.
• Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles using a forklift truck.
• Process orders accurately, within a time dictated by the customer deadline.
• Serve customers on the trade counter when required.

In this role as a Yard/Branch Assistant your duties will involve:

• Providing customers with product and service information
• Pick customer orders accurately
• Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles using a forklift truck
