Job summary

JDP, a civils drainage and water management specialist, is seeking a Branch/Yard Assistant for our Longtown site. You will help customers, pick orders, and support daily branch operations with a friendly team.

Role involves forklift loading/unloading, trade counter service, and occasional deliveries. A forklift licence and UK driving licence are required; warehouse experience and basic computer knowledge are desirable. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and customer service experience.
• Literacy and numeracy abilities are required.
• Hardworking and willing to learn all aspects of operations.
• Understanding of health and safety in a work environment.
• Forklift truck licence and full UK driving licence.
• Warehouse experience and basic computer knowledge are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with product and service information.
• Pick customer orders accurately.
• Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles using a forklift truck.
• Process orders accurately within customer deadlines.
• Serve customers on the trade counter when required.
• Interact with customers and support branch operations.
• Deliver goods using company pickup when required.

We are looking for a Branch/Yard Assistant to join us at our Longtown site. Your job

This role involves:

• Providing customers with product and service information
• Pick customer orders accurately
• Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles using a forklift truck
• Process orders accurately, within a time dictated by the customer deadline
• Serve customers on the trade counter when required
• Customer interaction
• Delivery of goods using the company pick up when required
