Job summary

John Davidson Pipes Limited in Cardiff is seeking a Yard/Branch Assistant to join our team. You will provide excellent customer service, help customers at the trade counter, and support loading and unloading using a forklift.

This role requires good communication, literacy and numeracy, basic computer knowledge, and a forklift licence. Experience in warehousing is preferred, and you will work as part of a busy branch network within a market-leading UK distributor.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and customer service ability.

• Hardworking and helpful with willingness to learn all aspects of operation.
• Health and safety awareness in a warehouse environment.
• Experience in warehousing preferred.
• Forklift truck licence.

In this role as a Yard/Branch Assistant your duties will involve:

• Providing customers with product and service information
• Pick customer orders accurately
• Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles using a forklift truck
• Process orders accurately, within a time dictated by the customer deadline
• Serve customers on the trade counter when required

You will come to us with:

• Excellent communication skills and some customer service skills
• Literacy & Numeracy
• A hardworking & helpful individual to train in all aspects of our operation
• An understanding of Health & Safety in a work environment
• Experience in Warehousing
• Basic knowledge of computers
