Job summary
JDP, a civils drainage and water management specialist, is seeking a Branch/Yard Assistant for our Longtown site. You will help customers, pick orders, and support daily branch operations with a friendly team.
Role involves forklift loading/unloading, trade counter service, and occasional deliveries. A forklift licence and UK driving licence are required; warehouse experience and basic computer knowledge are desirable. Training provided.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills and customer service experience.
- Literacy and numeracy abilities are required.
- Hardworking and willing to learn all aspects of operations.
- Understanding of health and safety in a work environment.
- Forklift truck licence and full UK driving licence.
- Warehouse experience and basic computer knowledge are desirable.
Responsibilities
- Provide customers with product and service information.
- Pick customer orders accurately.
- Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles using a forklift truck.
- Process orders accurately within customer deadlines.
- Serve customers on the trade counter when required.
- Interact with customers and support branch operations.
- Deliver goods using company pickup when required.
