Job summary

Nijhuis Saur Industries UK & Ireland is seeking an O&M Technician to operate and monitor a brand-new WWTP site. The role involves day shifts, first-line maintenance, data logging, and routine laboratory work, with training provided.

Expectation to cover Saturdays and Sundays on a flexible schedule, with on-call alarm response and after-hours site visits if needed. Competitive salary band and comprehensive benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• Basic repairs and maintenance on process equipment.
• Knowledge of running electro-mechanical plant.

Responsibilities

• Work within client and Company QHSE systems.
• Carry out lab analysis using laboratory equipment (training provided).
• Visible ownership on HSE issues at all levels.
• Promptly raise any issues which could affect client and company.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with client personnel and sub-contractor staff.
• Innovate to deliver continuous improvement and exploit opportunities.
• Identify faults, identify solutions and carry out repairs.
• Gather plant information and complete logs to understand WWTP operation.
• Carry out laboratory water analysis and report deviations to Site Management and Technical Team.
• Utilise plant information to evaluate operational problems and propose initial fixes.
• Develop and maintain good housekeeping practices.
• Work unsupervised with a proactive attitude.
• Develop team working behaviours with client and company staff.
• Undergo training as required and identify training needs.
• Lead by example.
• Take on additional responsibilities as required.
