Hawk Hiring LTD in Weston-super-Mare is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician/Car Mechanic to join our busy workshop. You will perform routine servicing, tyre and braking system maintenance, diagnostics using modern equipment, and general repairs across a wide range of vehicles to high industry standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or City & Guilds / time-served equivalent) with a proven track record in a busy workshop.
• Solid foundational knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, routine maintenance, and mechanical repair.
• DVSA MOT Smart Card advantageous but not essential; Full UK driving licence & own hand tools.

Responsabilités

• Carry out routine servicing and tyre/braking system maintenance.
• Perform diagnostic fault-finding using modern equipment.
• Carry out general mechanical repairs across a broad range of vehicles.

Pay & Benefits

• Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 basic per annum (tailored directly to your hands-on experience and technical skillset)
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (100% WEEKEND FREEDOM with strictly zero Saturday shifts required!)

Role Overview

Seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our highly respected workshop team in Weston-super-Mare. You will carry out routine servicing, tyre and braking system maintenance, diagnostic troubleshooting using modern equipment, and general repairs across a wide variety of customer vehicles to high industry standards.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or City & Guilds / time-served equivalent) with a proven track record in a busy workshop
• Solid foundational knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, routine maintenance, and mechanical repair
• Valid DVSA MOT Smart Card or F-Gas certification is advantageous, but not essential
• Full UK driving licence & own hand tools
