Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD in Fishponds, Bristol, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our busy workshop. You will perform routine servicing, safety inspections, fault-finding with modern diagnostic tools, and general mechanical repairs across a range of customer vehicles.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM with no weekends, a basic salary of £35,000–£40,000 depending on experience, and on-site parking plus a pension.

Qualifications

• NVQ/IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair with ≥1 year hands-on workshop experience.
• Solid knowledge of diagnostics, routine maintenance and mechanical repair.
• Full UK driving licence and own hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and safety inspections.
• Perform fault-finding using diagnostic tools and scanners.
• Carry out general mechanical repairs across a range of vehicles.
• Record service data on the digital service record.

Role Overview

Seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our busy workshop team in Fishponds, Bristol. You will be responsible for carrying out routine servicing, safety inspections, systematic fault-finding using modern diagnostic tools and scanners, and general mechanical repairs across a wide variety of customer vehicles to high industry standards.

Requirements

• NVQ / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or City & Guilds / time-served equivalent) with a minimum of 1 year hands-on workshop experience
• Solid foundational knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, routine maintenance, and mechanical repair
• Valid DVSA MOT Smart Card or F-Gas certification is advantageous, but not essential
• Full UK driving licence & own hand tools
