Job summary

Enerpac Tool Group’s Hydratight division in Aberdeen is seeking a Trainee Workshop Technician for our workshop-based refurbishment team. You will inspect, repair, maintain and function-test specialist tools and equipment at our Aberdeen facility.

You will diagnose faults, replace components and ensure safe, reliable operation, while developing technical skills and accuracy. Role emphasizes hands-on mechanical work, safety, attention to detail, and learning through training.

Qualifications

• Practical mechanical refurbishment or equipment-repair skills needed.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and safety information.
• Experience with measuring tools and gauges to diagnose faults.

Responsibilities

• Prepare refurbished equipment for rental orders and maintain fleet availability.
• Assess machinery to identify faults and required repairs.
• Refurbish equipment including mills, clamshells and flange-facing tools.
• Disassemble, inspect, repair, reassemble and test equipment for safe operation.
• Work with gear trains and hydraulic systems and follow drawings and instructions.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections and test results.
