Job summary

Enerpac Tool Group, operating through Hydratight, is seeking a Trainee Workshop Technician at its Aberdeen facility. You will inspect, repair, maintain and function-test specialist tools in a workshop setting, with all refurbishment performed on-site in Aberdeen.

You will diagnose faults, replace components and ensure equipment is safe and reliable. Ideal candidates have practical mechanical experience, a keen eye for detail and a desire to develop technical skills, with on-call rota

Qualifications

Practical mechanical or refurbishment experience preferred.
Ability to read technical drawings and safety information.
Comfort with precision measuring and testing equipment.
Willingness to learn and complete training.
Strong attention to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare refurbished equipment to fulfil rental orders and maintain fleet availability.
Assess machinery and components to identify faults and repairs.
Refurbish and maintain equipment including mills, clamshells and flange-facing tools.
Disassemble, inspect and troubleshoot equipment; replace parts and test for safe operation.
Work with gear trains and mechanical/hydraulic systems.
Follow technical drawings and equipment specifications.
Use precision measuring tools and quality inspection procedures.
Prepare records of repairs, inspections and maintenance.
