Job summary

Renewable Parts, a growing wind-energy supply chain partner, is seeking a permanent Workshop Technician for our Lochgilphead Refurbishment Centre. You will help run day-to-day refurbishments and support a small team in a hands-on workshop.

The role requires a solid background in mechanical and hydraulic systems, extensive workshop experience, teamwork, and a proactive attitude. You will contribute to quality control, safety records, and continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Extensive experience in a workshop environment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a small team based at the Refurbishment Centre in Lochgilphead.
• A self-motivated and can-do attitude.
• Experience of leading a team.

Responsibilities

• Duty of Care for own Health and Safety and that of others affected by their actions at work.
• Oversight of maintenance of workshop and equipment
• Quality control on finished refurbished components.
• Problem solving and fault diagnosis with incoming components
• Record keeping including health and safety, risk assessments and fire precautions.
• Leading by example
• Liaising with warehouse in Renfrew for goods incoming/outgoing
• Ensuring adherence to the quality management system
• Supporting the coaching of assistants and apprentices in workshop
• Drive to encourage continuous improvement.
