Job summary

TechnipFMC plc is hiring for a Mechanical Technician at the Altens Workshop in Aberdeen. You will support refurbishment and maintenance of Wellhead equipment, work across PCS, IExplore and D&C product lines, and engage with customers as required.

Safety, quality and continuous improvement are core expectations. The role requires several years’ experience with Surface Wellhead products, a pro-active team approach, and strong problem-solving skills within a busy workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience with Surface Wellhead products.
• Mechanical Technician with proven industry experience.
• Fluent in English (written & spoken) and valid UK driving licence.
• Gantry Crane certification.
• Basic Torque/Tensioning abilities.
• Strong communication skills with customers and suppliers.
• Good knowledge of SAP system and workshop processes.

Responsibilities

• Install surface wellhead equipment and associated tools.
• Perform maintenance and integrity testing of valves, actuators, and Xmas trees.
• Assemble, disassemble and repair Wellhead components per specs.
• Test and document assembly of equipment per drawings and specs.
• Attend to client or third-party interfaces for tests and make-ups.
• Contribute to workshop improvements and maintain audit readiness.
