Job summary

Enerpac Tool Group in Aberdeen is seeking a Workshop Technician to refurbish and test specialist tools and equipment. The role concentrates on inspecting, repairing, maintaining, and function-testing assets at the Aberdeen facility, not at client sites.

You will diagnose faults, replace components, complete quality inspections, and ensure safe operation. The job welcomes practical mechanical experience and emphasizes safety and precise workmanship.

Qualifications

• GCSEs or equivalent are required, with practical experience considered in place of formal qualifications.
• Experience in mechanical, machining, maintenance or workshop roles is preferred.
• A technical qualification in machining or mechanical repair is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare refurbished equipment to fulfill rental orders and maintain fleet availability.
• Assess machinery to identify faults and required repairs.
• Refurbish and maintain mills, clamshells and flange-facing tools.
• Disassemble, inspect and troubleshoot equipment; replace parts and test for safe operation.
• Work with gear trains and hydraulic systems and follow drawings and instructions.
• Complete machining activities and perform workshop-based function testing.
