Workshop Supervisor

Recruiting for a Workshop Supervisor to join our team in Rotherham (S60 2XL), overseeing the 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

Crossroads Truck & Bus Ltd is the Volvo Truck and Bus specialist across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. We provide comprehensive transport solutions, including new and used trucks, parts, and servicing for trucks, buses, and trailers.

The Workshop Supervisor Role

• Assist the Service Manager in coordinating between service reception and the workshop regarding repairs.
• Ensure technicians are assigned appropriate jobs.
• Monitor and control the progress of repairs and services until completion.
• Maintain high quality standards on all work produced by the service department.
• Ensure all service paperwork is completed accurately and to a high standard.
• Maintain excellent customer satisfaction and MOT standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, optimizing technician performance, and ensuring efficient workflow through the workshop with a focus on first-time fixes.

Requirements

• Qualifications such as City & Guilds Part 1 & 2, BTEC, IMI (or equivalent) in motor vehicle management or equivalent practical experience in the commercial vehicle industry.
• Experience in a workshop environment or similar.
• HGV Licence is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to work independently.
• Highly organized and able to prioritize effectively.
• Computer skills are advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
