What does the role of Workshop Controller involve?

• Accounting for and managing Technicians' time when working on jobs.
• Ensuring Job Card write-up compliance with OEM Warranty Procedures.
• Managing and improving workshop productivity and efficiency by allocating the correct jobs to appropriately skilled technicians.
• Identifying Technician training needs.

What do you need to succeed as a Workshop Controller?

• Proven experience within a service department in the motor industry.
• Excellent understanding of systems and processes in this environment.
• Strong knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
• Confidence in dealing with people at all levels and building rapport quickly.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Negotiation and influencing skills.
• Ability to lead by example and deliver outstanding customer service consistently.
