Job summary

Nationwide Platforms is seeking a Workshop Service Engineer to inspect, repair and maintain powered access machines within a busy depot. Training will be provided for operating booms and scissor lifts, with a focus on safety and customer service.

The role suits someone with diesel, auto electrical, hydraulics and diagnostics experience and a strong mechanical/engineering background, who can work Monday to Friday, 8am–5:30pm, within a team of service engineers.

Qualifications

• Experience in diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics and diagnostics fault finding.
• Relevant general engineering maintenance qualification (NVQ level 3 or equivalent).
• Understand the importance of safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) of machines at client premises and at depot as required, in conformance with manufacturers' specs and policy.
• Repair machines at depot or on site to meet manufacturers' specs and company policy.
• Complete planned maintenance activities and keep fleet looking to corporate standard.
• Handover machines to customers and train them on safe operation.
• Complete engineer reports, off-hire, and service sheets accurately.
• Update machine status in the system (PDI done, under repair, etc.).
