Job summary

Nationwide Platforms Ltd. is seeking a Workshop Service Engineer to join our depot team. You will inspect, repair and maintain powered access machines, with full training provided; previous mechanical/electrical experience is valuable.

The role offers a competitive salary, life assurance, health plan, 25 days holiday and a pension, with Monday–Friday 8am–5:30pm. You will support the Senior Service Engineer, perform PDIs, service and repair machines, and ensure safety and quality in all work.

Qualifications

Engineering maintenance qualifications to NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
Experience in diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics and diagnostics fault finding.
Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure and deliver high-quality service.
Understanding the importance of excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

Support the Senior Service Engineer in the depot workshop operations.
Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) of machines at client premises and depot.
Repair machines to meet manufacturer specifications and company policy.
Complete planned maintenance and keep fleet looking professional.
Handover machines to customers and train safe operation.
Act as an ambassador for the company, providing high standard of customer care and relaying queries to depot staff.
Complete paperwork including engineer's reports, off hire, PDI and service sheets.
Update system on machine status changes (e.g., PDI carried out, machine under repair).
