Job summary

Nationwide Platforms is seeking a Workshop Service Engineer to join our depot team in the United Kingdom. You will inspect, repair and maintain powered access machines, including booms and scissor lifts, with full training provided and a strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

The role suits an experienced service engineer or mechanic with general engineering maintenance knowledge in diesel, auto electrics, hydraulics and diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Relevant general engineering maintenance qualification, preferably NVQ level 3.
• Experience in diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics and diagnostics fault finding.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure; strong customer service ethos.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Service Engineer in the effective running of the Depot workshop within the region.
• Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) of machines at client premises and at depot as required.
• Repair machines at depot or on site to ensure conformance with manufacturers' specifications.
• Complete planned maintenance activities and maintain fleet appearance to company standards.
• Handover machines to customers and familiarise them with safe operation.
• Act as an ambassador for the company and relay customer queries to depot staff.
• Accurately complete paperwork including engineer’s reports, off hire, and service sheets.
• Update system on machine status changes (PDI, repair, 6 monthly inspections).
