Job summary

Nationwide Platforms Ltd. is seeking a skilled Workshop Service Engineer to join a busy depot team.

The role involves inspecting, repairing and maintaining powered access machines, with full training provided and hours 8:00–17:30, Monday to Friday. The candidate should have a general engineering background (NVQ3 or equivalent) and experience in diesel, auto electrics and hydraulics, with strong customer service and safety emphasis.

Qualifications

Relevant general engineering maintenance qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
Experience with diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics and diagnostics fault finding is preferred.
Ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure, while delivering high standards of service.
Commitment to excellent customer service and safety.

Responsibilities

Support the Senior Service Engineer in the depot workshop’s effective running.
Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) of machines at client premises and depot, ensuring safe operation and reporting defects.
Repair machines at depot or on site to meet manufacturer specs and company policy.
Complete planned maintenance and maintain fleet appearance to corporate standards.
Handover machines to customers and explain safe operation per procedures.
Complete paperwork including engineer’s reports, off hire, PDI and service sheets.
Update machine status in the system (PDI done, under repair, 6 monthly inspections).
