Job summary

Nationwide Platforms Ltd. is seeking a proactive Workshop Service Engineer to join our depot team in the Greater London area. The role covers inspecting, repairing and maintaining powered access machines (booms and scissor lifts) with full training provided.

You will support senior engineers in a busy workshop, carry out PDIs, repairs and planned maintenance, and ensure clear handovers to customers with safe operation guidance. A practical engineering background is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in diesel engines, auto electrics, hydraulics and diagnostics.
• NVQ Level 3 in General Engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a busy depot and prioritise tasks.
• Willing to learn with full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Service Engineer in depot workshop operations.
• Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) of machines at client premises and depot as required.
• Repair machines to manufacturer specifications and company policy.
• Complete planned maintenance including fleet appearance to standard.
• Handover machines to customers and explain safe operation.
• Maintain paperwork including engineer reports and service sheets.
• Update system with machine status changes (PDI, under repair, inspections).
