Job summary
Nationwide Platforms is seeking a workshop service engineer to inspect, repair and maintain powered access machines in our busy depot. Training will be provided, and candidates with mechanical or electrical experience as a car mechanic or plant fitter are welcome.
The role is Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, with a competitive salary, life assurance, Westfield health plan, 25 days holiday and a final pension.
Qualifications
- NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in general engineering.
- Experience in diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics and diagnostics fault finding.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure.
- Commitment to excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Service Engineer in running the Depot workshop.
- Carry out PDIs and site inspections per manufacturer specifications, company policy and safety regulations.
- Repair machines at depot or on site to ensure conformance with specifications and policy.
- Complete planned maintenance and keep fleet appearance to corporate standard.
- Handover machines to customers and demonstrate safe operation.
- Accurate paperwork: engineer's reports, off-hire, inspections and service sheets.
- Update system statuses (PDI completed, machine under repair, etc.).
