We have an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised Workshop Maintenance Operative to join our Premises team based at our Head Office - Albany House in central Eastbourne. This is a key role supporting our network of over 280 branches nationwide by providing essential support with merchandising materials and necessary shop fittings and equipment required for all branches.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing stock levels of shopfitting and merchandising materials, maintaining safe and organised storage areas, and supporting the loading, unloading, and distribution of equipment. You will also carry out repairs, refurbishments, redecoration projects, and shopfitting installations at branches and company sites. Working closely with the Merchandising Manager and Internal Contracts team, you will help ensure equipment is well maintained, stock is effectively controlled, and materials are available for branch openings and refurbishment projects.
This varied, hands‑on role requires strong practical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience in shopfitting, maintenance, shelving, racking, or a similar trade environment would be beneficial.
