Job summary

TIP Group in Ellistown, United Kingdom, is seeking a skilled Workshop Manager to lead our workshop operations and stay focused on keeping trailers on the road. This hands-on leadership role will drive performance, safety, and efficiency across the team.

You will manage repairs, coordinate workloads, and champion cost-effective solutions while ensuring compliance with EHS and statutory requirements. A strong technical background and people leadership are essential.

Qualifications

Hands-on workshop experience with trailers and trucks.
Previous workshop or team management experience is advantageous.
Strong organisation, admin and IT skills; able to prioritise workloads.

Responsibilities

Oversee workshop operations, including loading, repair prioritisation, systems and processes.
Lead a hands-on team to maintain safe, efficient workshop practices.
Keep fleets road-ready by minimising downtime and identifying economical repairs.
Ensure inspections, services and repairs meet standards and legislation.
Analyse maintenance trends, manage staffing and overtime, report performance.
