Job summary

We are seeking a Workshop Foreman to join our team in Hemel Hempstead. You will lead a busy workshop, manage technicians, plan workloads, and ensure safety, quality, and compliance on every job.

The role requires practical leadership, strong diagnostic knowledge, and the ability to liaise with managers, suppliers, and customers. Full UK driving licence preferred, NVQ/City & Guilds/IMI or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a workshop, vehicle maintenance, plant, fleet, engineering, or similar technical environment.
• Previous leadership experience such as Supervisor or Foreman is desirable.
• Experience with diagnostics, servicing, and workflow in a workshop.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the workshop floor and make practical decisions.
• Liaise with technicians, managers, suppliers, and customers.
• Ensure safety, quality, and compliance across all workshop activities.
• Maintain accurate records, job cards, and workshop reports.
• Manage workloads and improve team productivity and utilisation.
