Job summary

Euro-Projects Recruitment Ltd seeks a Workshop Supervisor to lead a hands‑on engineering team in a busy passenger vehicle workshop. You will oversee daily activities, allocate maintenance and breakdown tasks, and work closely with stores and operations to keep vehicles available and compliant.

The role requires experience as HGV/PSV technician or supervisor, a Level 3 Heavy Vehicle qualification, and strong communication to motivate technicians while upholding high engineering standards.

Qualifications

• An experienced HGV Technician, PSV Technician, Chargehand, Workshop Controller or Workshop Supervisor.
• Level 3 Heavy Vehicle qualification (or similar).
• Confident communicator capable of motivating technicians and maintaining high engineering standards.
• Understands workshop planning, compliance, quality inspections and vehicle availability.
• PCV licence advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day‑to‑day activities of the engineering workshop, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Allocate planned maintenance, inspections, repairs and breakdown work across the engineering team.
• Occasionally support with servicing, repairs, diagnostics and inspections alongside your team.
• Perform quality inspections on completed work and ensure defects are rectified correctly.
• Support vehicle availability by minimising downtime and ensuring fleet compliance.
• Mentor, coach and develop engineering staff while promoting a positive team culture.
• Maintain engineering records, support warranty administration and work closely with stores and operations teams.
• Promote excellent Health & Safety standards and ensure compliance with company procedures and statutory regulations.
