Job summary

Stagecoach Eastbourne Depot is seeking a hands-on Workshop Manager to lead a team of Engineers, Technicians and Cleaners across a 60+ vehicle fleet. Based at Eastbourne, you’ll ensure vehicles are clean, safe and road-ready, while coordinating maintenance schedules and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Relevant engineering experience across mechanical, electrical and bodywork.
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in mechanical/automotive field.
Experience leading a workshop or technical team; understands PCV operations.
Strong health and safety knowledge and regulatory awareness.
People-centered leadership with clear communication.
Able to plan, analyse, and make decisions in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and motivate the team to deliver safe, reliable, and well-presented vehicles.
Schedule and prioritise vehicle maintenance and servicing.
Support team development and training needs.
Quality check vehicles after maintenance to ensure standards.
Uphold health, safety and environmental standards per legislation and policy.
