Interaction Technical is seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover Milton Keynes and surrounding 30-mile radius, servicing and repairing forklift trucks and material handling equipment. You will work from customer sites, with regular overtime and a clear route to progression.

The role includes manufacturer training, company vehicle usage, and a strong earnings potential through overtime. A valid UK driving licence and field-based mindset are essential.

Qualifications

Experience servicing forklift trucks and material handling equipment.
Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
Ability to diagnose electrical, hydraulic and mechanical faults.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Willingness to travel within the 30-mile radius.

Responsibilities

Service, maintain and repair forklifts and material handling equipment.
Diagnose electrical, hydraulic and mechanical faults.
Attend breakdowns and perform reactive repairs.
Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
Repair diesel, petrol, LPG and electric-powered equipment.
Accurately complete service reports and maintenance documentation.
Manage workload and territory efficiently.
Deliver exceptional customer service on-site.

Location: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire (Applications welcome from Bedford, Luton, Leighton Buzzard, Dunstable, Northampton, Towcester, Bletchley, Buckingham, Woburn, Ampthill and all locations within a 30-mile radius)

Salary: £37,000 - £42,200 Basic + Overtime (OTE £50,000 - £60,000+)

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (42.5 Hours)

Regular overtime is available, allowing engineers to significantly increase their annual earnings.

Based on £37,000 Basic Salary

5 Hours Overtime per Week @ 1.5x

Approx. Additional Earnings: £6,500 per year
Total Earnings: £43,500+

10 Hours Overtime per Week @ 1.5x

Approx. Additional Earnings: £13,000 per year
Total Earnings: £50,000+

Based on £42,000 Basic Salary

5 Hours Overtime per Week @ 1.5x

Approx. Additional Earnings: £7,400 per year
Total Earnings: £49,400+

10 Hours Overtime per Week @ 1.5x

Approx. Additional Earnings: £14,800 per year

The Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you will work from home attending customer sites throughout Milton Keynes and the surrounding area, carrying out servicing, maintenance and breakdown repairs on a wide range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment.

You’ll be responsible for maintaining customer equipment to the highest standard while ensuring excellent service delivery and maximising machine uptime.
