Job summary

Neos Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Workshop Engineer in Milton Keynes to support the Workshop Manager in maintaining assets, carrying out inspections, and prepping for sales. You will ensure work is performed safely and to HSEQ standards while collaborating with Field Service Engineers, Service Admin and Parts teams.

Key duties include repairing forklifts and MHE, ensuring fleet PDIs, sourcing parts, and upholding safety policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of forklift and materials handling equipment engineering.
• Diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Numeracy skills.
• Analytical with an eye for detail.
• Excellent communications skills.

• NVQ in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).

• Familiarity / good working knowledge of field service software (ie working from a tablet / hand held device).

The Role

To support the Workshop Manager in successful delivery of maintenance of assets, inspections, prep for sales and repairs in a professional manner. Ensure that workshop and on-site activities are carried out safely.

Ensure that all work is delivered to the required HSEQ standards required and that the workshop team continually strive for continuous improvement.

You will work closely with Field Service Engineers, Service Admin and Parts team both at branch and head office level.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, and service Forklift trucks, Material Handling Equipment.
• General upkeep of Hire fleet, Including PDIs.
• Work closely with the parts department to identify correct parts.
• Adhere to site Health & Safety requirements.

Monday to Friday 45 hours per week, 08:00 and 17:30 - You are also required to work such additional hours as may be necessary for the proper performance of your duties or that may be required to fulfil role
