Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Workshop Engineer in Wakefield (commutable from Leeds, Normanton, Castleford, Pontefract, Barnsley, Heckmondwike, Huddersfield, Bradford). The role offers £36,000 base plus £45,000 OTE, with Monday–Friday hours and opportunities for training, progression, overtime and benefits.

You will work on modern equipment, handling service, maintenance, inspection and testing on forklift machinery.

Qualifications

• Experience with service, maintenance and testing of forklift equipment.
• Solid understanding of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Commutable to Wakefield or surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, inspection and testing on access, material handling and forklift equipment.
• Electrical, mechanical and hydraulics involved in servicing.
• Mon-Fri shift 6am–3pm on site at local depot.

Are you Mechanically qualified and/or experienced looking to join a National leader in the industry in a workshop position coupled with full Electrical, Mechanical and Hydraulic training?

The company are a multi-million manufacturer of specialist Plant and Material Handling equipment supplying to leading facilities. This role is available due to internal growth plans.

This is a highly varied Monday - Friday days based role out of their modern, fully equipped and local depot. You will be based on site providing Service, Maintenance, Inspection and Testing on a range of Forklift machinery.

This role would suit a Forklift, Mechanical or similar Engineer looking to progress technically, receive multi-skilled training and job a secure business.

The role.

• Maintenance, Inspection and Testing on Access, Material Handling, Forklift equipment.
• Electrical, Mechanical and Hydraulics involved.
• Monday - Friday (6am - 3pm).

The person.

• Plant, Forklift, REME, Material Handling, Vehicle background.
• Any Mechanical background welcomed
• Commutable to Wakefield.

The salary advertised is the bracket available for this position. The actual salary paid will be dependent on your level of experience, qualifications and skill set and will be decided by our client, the employer.
