Job summary

Interaction Technical is recruiting a Workshop Engineer for their Grantham depot to service, repair and maintain forklift fleets and material handling equipment in a busy workshop. You will be part of an experienced team receiving ongoing training, with overtime opportunities and a clear path for progression.

The role suits mechanically minded engineers with experience in forklifts, plant machinery or related equipment.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical engineering skills.
• Good hydraulic and electrical fault-finding ability.
• Experience working on engines and mobile machinery.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair forklift trucks and material handling equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, hydraulic and mechanical faults.
• Carry out planned maintenance and safety inspections.
• Complete major repairs and component replacements.
• Prepare new and used equipment for customer delivery.
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDIs).

Location: Grantham, Lincolnshire

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 Basic + Overtime (OTE £45,000 - £50,000+)

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, 1.5 HOURS BREAK (40 Hours)

The Role

As a Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment within a busy workshop environment.

You will work as part of an experienced engineering team, ensuring equipment is maintained to the highest standards before being returned to customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair forklift trucks and material handling equipment
• Diagnose electrical, hydraulic and mechanical faults
• Carry out planned maintenance and safety inspections
• Complete major repairs and component replacements
• Prepare new and used equipment for customer delivery
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDIs)
• Accurately complete workshop documentation
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety
