Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited has a Workshop Engineer role based in Bolton (commutable from Westhoughton, Chorley, Horwich, Wigan, Bury, Manchester, Leigh, Skelmersdale). The position involves on-site service, maintenance, inspection and testing of forklift machinery, with training and clear progression within a multi-million manufacturer.

You will receive a £35,000 base salary plus £45,000 OTE, a Monday–Friday days pattern, and additional benefits including overtime opportunities and

• Experience with plant or forklift equipment and related machinery.
• Mechanical/electrical knowledge and a background in material handling.
• Commutable to Bolton with a hands-on engineering mindset.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, inspection and testing on access, material handling and forklift equipment.
• Electrical, mechanical and hydraulics involved in service work.
• Mon-Fri days with opportunities for overtime and progression.

Workshop Engineer – Bolton (Commutable from: Westhoughton, Chorley, Horwich, Wigan, Bury, Manchester, Leigh, Skelmersdale)

Do you have Engineering qualifications and/or experience looking to join a National leader in the industry in a workshop position coupled with full Electrical, Mechanical and Hydraulic training?

On offer is a fantastic opportunity to join this company in a stable permanent role. You will be required to work on modern equipment, maintain a good work life balance and have clear progression within their business. The company is a multi‑million manufacturer of specialist Plant and Material Handling equipment supplying to leading facilities. This role is available due to internal growth plans. This is a highly varied Monday – Friday days based role out of their modern, fully equipped and local depot. You will be based on site providing Service, Maintenance, Inspection and Testing on a range of Forklift machinery. This role would suit a Plant, Mechanical or similar Engineer looking to progress technically, receive multi‑skilled training and job a secure business.

The role
