Job summary

Lithia UK are recruiting a Workshop Controller in Falkirk to drive service excellence alongside the Service Reception and Parts teams. You will influence progress on jobs, support colleagues, and mentor apprentices while keeping the customer first.

Qualifications

• Experience in a motor service department is required.
• A solid understanding of health and safety within workshop environments.

What does the role of Workshop Controller involve?

• Assist in maintaining progress information against job allocation ensure all appropriate paperwork is completed to standard and passed on to the relevant teams
• Assist and advise team members in dealing with technical and job-related problems
• Coach the workshop apprentices as and when required
• Ensure the customer comes first

What do you need to succeed as a Workshop Controller?

• Proven experience within a service department in the motor industry
• An excellent understanding of systems and processes operated to within this environment
• A strong knowledge of Health and Safety
• Confident with dealing with people at all levels, be able to build an immediate rapport
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• Comfortable in negotiating and influencing situations
• Lead by example to deliver an outstanding customer experience every time
