Job summary

Lithia UK is seeking a Workshop Controller to oversee a busy service department. You will manage Technicians time, ensure Job Card write ups comply with OEM Warranty procedures, and drive productivity by allocating the right jobs to the most suitable technicians.

What does the role of Workshop Controller involve?

• Accounting for and managing Technicians time when working on jobs.
• Ensuring Job Card write up compliance with regards to OEM Warranty Procedures.
• Managing and improving workshop Productivity and Efficiency by allocating the correct jobs to the correctly skilled technician
• Identifying Technician Training Needs.

What do you need to succeed as a Workshop Controller?

• Proven experience within a service department in the motor industry
• An excellent understanding of systems and processes operated to within this environment
• A strong knowledge of Health and Safety
• Confident with dealing with people at all levels, be able to build an immediate rapport
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• Comfortable in negotiating and influencing situations
• Lead by example to deliver an outstanding customer experience every time
