Job summary

The John Clark Motor Group is seeking an experienced Workshop Controller for our Edinburgh service operation. You will oversee workshop workload, coordinate between technicians and service advisors, and ensure smooth daily operations.

We value a confident, customer-focused leader who can drive productivity, upsell approved work, and maintain high standards of communication. Previous service-department experience is essential; a strong team ethos is expected.

• Experience in a similar role within a service department.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth running of the workshop and loading of ramps.
• Promote and increase full utilisation of technician hours and productivity.
• Assist with upselling identified work and meet workshop KPI targets set by the Service Manager.
• Maintain clear communication between workshop, service advisers and other stakeholders.

BYD Dundee; part of the John Clark Motor Group, are seeking an experienced and qualified workshop controller in Edinburgh. As a Workshop Controller it will be your job to control the workshop workload and liaise between the workshop and Service Advisors.

Key Job Requirements for Workshop Controller

• Ensure smooth running of the workshop and loading of ramps
• Promote and increase full utilisation of technician hours and increase productivity and efficiency of all technicians
• Assist with the upsell of all identified work and work towards achieving agreed workshop targets and KPI's as set by the Service Manager
• Effect good communication between relevant stakeholders in the service process, thus ensuring great customer service
