Job summary

Group 1 Automotive is seeking a Workshop Controller for the Volkswagen Peterborough site. You will manage the day-to-day workshop operations, coordinate service and repair work, and support the service team to deliver outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Motor Industry experience in a similar role is essential.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work to timescales effectively.
• Keen eye for detail, good communication and a passion for delivering great customer service.
• Experience in a main dealer environment.
• Strong industry knowledge.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the day to day running of the workshop.
• Ensuring the service and repair technicians achieve their daily targets.
• Assisting the service managers in ensuring the department provides the best possible service to the customers.
• Achieves agreed profits and retention levels.

Working in our aftersales department as a Workshop Controller you will be a key part of the Retail Centre. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills to deal with customers face to face or over the phone, providing an outstanding customer service to all customers.
