Job summary

People's Partnership is seeking an Implementation Manager to lead onboarding and implementation of workplace pension arrangements, combining project management with a consultative approach to deliver excellent client outcomes.

The role focuses on building trusted employer relationships, guiding cross-functional teams, and ensuring processes align with regulatory and governance standards. Hybrid working is available within the UK.

Qualifications

• Significant experience implementing workplace pension schemes.
• PRINCE2 Practitioner, PRINCE2 Foundation progressing to Practitioner, or equivalent project management qualification.
• Strong project management, planning and risk management skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Experience working directly with employers, payroll teams and business stakeholders.
• Ability to simplify complex technical concepts and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
• Strong understanding of UK defined contribution pensions and implementation processes.
• Demonstrable ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end workplace pension implementations, managing project plans, timelines, governance, risks and dependencies to ensure successful delivery.
• Act as the primary implementation partner for employers, building trusted relationships through proactive communication, workshops and consultative guidance.
• Design practical implementation solutions by understanding employer objectives, operating models and payroll requirements, constructively challenging and recommending alternatives where appropriate.
• Collaborate across internal teams, including Operations, Distribution, Payroll, Compliance and Client Relationship teams, while providing implementation expertise to support new business opportunities.
• Drive quality and continuous improvement by identifying process efficiencies, sharing expertise, coaching colleagues and ensuring compliance with regulatory, governance and risk requirements.
