Job summary

Fortus Recruitment Group is seeking a Working Supervisor in Billericay to oversee reactive repairs and void works within a social housing property maintenance team. The role combines supervisory oversight with hands-on maintenance to keep repair programs moving.

We’re currently looking for an experienced Working Supervisor to join a housing maintenance team in Billericay, covering reactive repairs and void works.

The Role

• Supervise and support operatives across reactive and void works
• Carry out hands-on maintenance and repair works as required

• Coordinate workloads and ensure jobs are completed on time and to a high standard
• Liaise with residents, contractors, and management
• Help resolve issues on site and ensure works meet required standards

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a working supervisor / supervisor role within social housing or property maintenance
• Strong knowledge of reactive repairs and voids
• Good understanding of health & safety and quality requirements
• Able to lead by example while remaining hands‑on
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Relevant trade background preferred
