Mitchells & Butlers PLC in Exeter is seeking a Working Innkeeper's Collection Night Porter to provide overnight guest care and front-of-house support. You will check in late arrivals and walk-ins, warmly welcome guests, and help maintain safe, comfortable environments across the site.

This role involves independent night work, possible breakfast area duties, and ensuring safety and security. A DBS check is required in the recruitment process.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact when checking in late arrivals and walk-ins.
• Ensure a warm, friendly and genuine welcome to all guests.
• The role is varied and, depending on your site, may include: cleaning tasks within the front of house, external and breakfast areas, setting up the meeting room(s) and breakfast for the next day.
• You’ll ensure guest and business safety and security is top priority at all times.
• In the event of a fire, evacuating all guests and team from the business safely and quickly.
• Answer telephone enquiries and deal with guest complaints to ensure everyone enjoys their stay.

This is an overnight position, with shifts typically ranging from 11pm to 7am (depending on the site).

Successful applicants will be required to undergo a

Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as part of the recruitment process.
