Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers plc in the United Kingdom is seeking a Night Porter to join our team. This overnight role involves shifts typically from 11pm to 7am, depending on the site. Successful applicants will undergo a DBS check as part of the recruitment process.

You’ll be the first point of contact for late arrivals and walk-ins, ensuring a warm welcome and safe environment. You may perform front of house cleaning, prepare breakfast areas, and support meeting room setup for the next day.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for late arrivals and walk-ins.
• Provide a warm, friendly welcome to all guests.
• Assist with front of house tasks and breakfast area setup where required.
• Ensure guest and business safety and security at all times.
• Evacuate guests and team safely in case of fire.
• Handle telephone inquiries and guest complaints to maintain a positive stay.

WHAT YOU'LL DO IN THIS ROLE:

• Be the first point of contact when checking in late arrivals and walk-ins.
• Ensure a warm, friendly and genuine welcome to all guests.
• The role is varied and, depending on your site, may include: cleaning tasks within the front of house, external and breakfast areas, setting up the meeting room(s) and breakfast for the next day
• You’ll ensure guest and business safety and security is top priority at all times.
• In the event of a fire, evacuating all guests and team from the business safely and quickly
• Answer telephone enquiries and deal with guest complaints to ensure everyone enjoys their stay.
