Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers PLC, Innkeepers Collection in London, is seeking an Overnight Night Porter to greet guests, assist late arrivals, and help maintain front of house. The role is part-time with 11pm–7am shifts, requiring a warm welcome, safety mindedness, and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact when checking in late arrivals and walk-ins.
• Ensure a warm, friendly and genuine welcome to all guests.
• Role may include cleaning tasks within front of house, external/breakfast areas, and setting up meeting rooms for the next day.
• Ensure guest and business safety and security is top priority at all times.
• In the event of a fire, evacuate guests and team safely and quickly.
• Answer telephone enquiries and deal with guest complaints to ensure enjoyment of stay.

This is an overnight position, with shifts typically ranging from 11pm to 7am (depending on the site).

Successful applicants will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as part of the recruitment process.

What you’ll do in this role:

• Be the first point of contact when checking in late arrivals and walk-ins.
• Ensure a warm, friendly and genuine welcome to all guests.
• The role is varied and, depending on your site, may include cleaning tasks within the front of house, external and breakfast areas, setting up the meeting room(s) and breakfast for the next day.
• You’ll ensure guest and business safety and security is top priority at all times.
• In the event of a fire, evacuating all guests and team from the business safely and quickly.
• Answer telephone enquiries and deal with guest complaints to ensure everyone enjoys their stay.
