Job summary

Search Consultancy are recruiting for Working Foreman/Gangers to join projects in Inverness and surrounding areas. These are temporary roles with ongoing work and can offer a range of payment types including weekly payments.

You will supervise and direct operatives, read drawings and method statements, set out work, coordinate materials and deliveries, ensure RAMS compliance and site safety, and liaise with site managers and other trades.

Qualifications

• Supervise and direct operatives, labourers and subcontractors.
• Read drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Maintain RAMS and site safety compliance.
• Identify hazards and ensure safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate materials, tools, plant and deliveries.
• Set out work and check levels and dimensions.
• Liaise with site managers, engineers and other trades.
• Raise toolbox talks and monitor progress against programme.

Search Consultancy have fantastic opportunities for Working Foreman/Gangers to work with one of our valued clients in Inverness and surrounding areas. These are temporary roles, however we have ongoing work for interested candidates and can offer great benefits such as various payment types and a referral scheme.

Duties to include:

• Supervising and directing operatives, labourers and subcontractors.
• Organising daily work activities and allocating tasks to the team.
• Reading and working from drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Ensuring work is completed safely, correctly and to the required standard.
• Carrying out hands-on work and assisting the team with construction activities.
• Setting out work and checking levels, measurements and dimensions where required.
• Coordinating materials, tools, plant and deliveries.
• Monitoring productivity and progress against the programme.
• Liaising with site managers, engineers, supervisors and other trades.
• Conducting toolbox talks and ensuring workers follow RAMS and site rules.
• Identifying and reporting hazards, defects, delays and other site issues.

Requirements:

• NPORS/CPCS Card required
• Good attention to detail
• Full PPE
